Happy Monday!
There’s a model sitting in Anthropic’s labs right now that most of the world can’t access.
It’s called Claude Mythos Preview. And Anthropic is being deliberately cautious about releasing it — not because it doesn’t work, but because it works almost too well.
The company has limited access to a select group of organizations while they study its implications carefully. They call this framework Project Glasswing.
I find this fascinating. And a little clarifying.
What Responsible AI Development Looks Like
In an industry obsessed with moving fast and breaking things, Anthropic is doing something different: moving carefully and fixing things before they break.
For those of us in healthcare — an industry where the cost of moving fast and breaking things is measured in patient outcomes — this approach resonates deeply.
Healthcare staffing sits at the intersection of human lives and operational complexity. We place physicians in facilities that depend on them. We match clinicians to communities that need them. There is no “move fast” culture here. There is only “get it right.”
The fact that the most powerful AI company in the world is applying that same standard to their most powerful model tells me something important:
Does this mean that the era of thoughtless AI deployment is ending? The era of intentional AI integration is beginning?
What This Means for Healthcare Talent Leaders
The organizations that will win the next decade of healthcare recruiting aren’t the ones who adopt every new AI tool the moment it launches.
They’re the ones who ask the right questions first:
Does this tool reduce bias in our candidate selection — or amplify it?
Does this tool make our recruiters more effective — or just faster at making the same mistakes?
Does this tool protect the privacy and dignity of the clinicians in our pipeline — or treat them as data points?
These are not anti-AI questions. They are pro-human questions. And they are exactly the questions the best AI developers are now asking themselves.
Where I Stand
At Protean Med, we are building with AI intentionally. We are not adopting tools because they are new. We are adopting tools that make our team smarter, our placements better, and our relationships stronger.
The future of healthcare recruiting is not artificial intelligence replacing human judgment. It is human judgment amplified by the right intelligence infrastructure.
Claude Mythos may be the most powerful AI in existence right now. But the most powerful thing in healthcare staffing is still a recruiter who genuinely cares about the clinician on the other end of the phone.
Let’s never forget that.
See you next Monday. — Rajee
