Be fearless and Challenge yourself!

It was spring 2020, and the rapidly spreading Covid19 fever gripped the world. Everything had changed overnight – from how we socialized to how we worked. Hospitals were understaffed as they faced an unprecedented surge in demand for medical services.

One evening, my husband Krishna and I were discussing the pros and cons of venturing into the healthcare recruiting and staffing industry. Krishna, a successful entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience in ERP staffing solutions helped me brainstorm on the nuances of the industry Protean Med was registered in June 2020 and it is “Built to ease healthcare staffing”. The journey thus far has been challenging but rewarding and educational.

Starting a business was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced, but it was also one of the most rewarding. I learned new skills, developed resilience, and achieved a sense of personal satisfaction that I never thought possible. I realized the gaps in my mental models and the determination required to cross every hurdle along the path.

That’s the beauty of a challenge. It opens you up to new experiences and puts you in the effort to improve yourself every day. It could be trying something new, starting a blog, quitting social media, giving up a bad habit, or even fiscal discipline. Big or small, it’s still a challenge and it does pull you out of your comfort zone. It’s a test of your grit and is not supposed to be an easy task with little effort.

Tips for Building Confidence and Resilience

So, the next time you’re faced with a challenge, go for it. You can do it!
